Our Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program utilizes various research-based and developmentally appropriate practices to continue supporting each child’s relationship with learning and readiness for their educational adventures ahead. Our students explore learning with play-based activities designed to provide children with a variety of experiences to learn and build a solid educational foundation while continuing to cultivate a joyful relationship with learning. Our engaging and effective lessons include phonics, writing, literacy, math goals that build foundational skills taught with a multisensory approach.

The programs are balanced between being teacher and child-directed, active and quiet activities, large and small groups, as well as indoor and outdoor experiences. We strive to create an environment that facilitates the growth of awareness, exploration, and inquiry, and to encourage each child’s self-confidence and eagerness to learn. The primary goal of the program is to help each child reach full potential in all areas of life. Activities promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation.

The PK program includes weekly science, social studies, and library exploration in addition to enrichment classes including music, art, PE, religion, and Spanish.

Students who turn 4 years old by September 1 are eligible to enroll in our Pre-Kindergarten program

The dedicated Bardis Family Little School House, home to our Pre-K students, probably has the best view on campus.

Overlooking the fields and the mountains, the building features a generous space for play and learning, kitchen, bathrooms, and office space, and a large outdoor play area with a play structure and a trike & bicycle track.
