Author of 'Monterey Bay' visits All Saints'
Lindsay Hatton '92 took time out of her busy book tour schedule and stopped by school to visit with students and take a walk down memory lane.
Our students enjoyed spending time with Lindsay.
First, she shared stories about her time here at All Saints' with our lower graders, and then talked to our middle schoolers about writing her book. She even managed to facilitate a Myth vs. Truth writing exercise about the founding of All Saints'. Our students willingly and creatively tackled the assignment :-)

Lindsay Hatton’s debut novel, Monterey Bay, takes place between 1940 and 1998 and is set around the creation of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and of course and John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row.
Having spent her summers volunteering at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a teenager including one memorable one having her heart broken, helped her weave her personal history as well as Cannery Row’s past into a coming-of-age fictional love story.
Penguin Press published the novel in July 2016 and it has earned raving reviews and has made it onto quite a few summer reading lists.
