School moving to distance learning
Starting on Wednesday, March 18 at noon
Based on careful monitoring of the local situation of COVID-19, and on the advice of epidemiological experts nationwide, we are going to begin the process of suspending in-person learning and transitioning to our temporary distance learning plan as of next week. This decision was not made lightly. School and Board leadership are confident that this is the appropriate proactive step to take at this time. We believe the steps we are taking will give our families time to make arrangements, and will also help minimize the transmission of the virus to those who may be most at risk in our greater community.
We are fully prepared to implement our distance learning plan, which we have been developing in recent weeks. Students are expected to come to school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to prepare for distance learning. On Wednesday our students will be dismissed at noon with the supplies and materials necessary for remote learning.
