SCOTT FUJITA FLIES WITH BLUE ANGELS

Our future head of school, Scott Fujita, was hand selected by the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels, to experience firsthand what it is like to fly in an F/A-18 Hornet. The Blue Angels choose Mr. Fujita because he is a leader in our community who epitomizes the culture of excellence the Blue Angels strive to uphold.

On Friday, March 22, the training day of the Salinas International AirShow, our school community was invited to watch Mr. Fujita climb into the back seat of a Blue Angels F/A-18 and take off faster than he ever had before. His 45 min flight was one to remember. Blue Angel pilot, Lt. Cary Rickoff showed Mr. Fujita a whole new set of ropes and the school community loved posing with him and his pilot after his flight.

Our very own Blue Angels parents (C.J. Simonsen, Dave Tickle, and Amy Tomlinson) were on hand to share their aviation stories and experiences.

A video is coming shortly!
