All Saints' 6th Grade Teacher Sara Brown receives Crystal Apple Award

Dan Green of KSBW Action news 8 TV surprised Mrs. Brown in the All Saints' ceramics room to present her the Crystal Apple Award. The segment aired on the Friday, April 7, 2017 KSBW newscast. Follow this link to view.

Head of School, Hugh Jebson: "Sara is a master teacher who not only conveys deep love for what she teaches but also for who she teaches. Middle school is a time of major transition and development - intellectual, personal, social and emotional - for young people. Sara 'gets' middle school students. She stands conspicuously beside and behind each of her students in a way that makes it clear to all that she is on their side. The high expectations she has of her students are exceeded only by those she has for herself. In a school in which students thrive on relationship-centered teaching, Sara Brown is a model for middle school educators everywhere."

Sara Brown is an outstanding educator and has been the All Saints’ 6th grade teacher for 13 years and the 8th grade ethics teacher for the last 5 years, inspiring countless All Saints' students!

Each school year, KSBW recognizes remarkable and inspiring local teachers with the Crystal Apple Award presented by Pebble Beach Company.
Eight teacher honorees are chosen during the school year, September through May, and each month, Dan Green features one Crystal Apple Award honoree during the 6:00pm newscast.
