William Langmann '17 wins American History Essay Contest

Congratulations to William Langmann '17! Our 8th grade class participated in the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) American History essay contest.

This contest is open to all 5th through 8th grade students in public, private, and parochial schools, and registered home-study programs. Each year a topic is announced, and contest instructions are published online and sent to schools by participating DAR chapters. Essays are judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and neatness.

William Langmann's essay was selected as the DAR Monterey Chapter 8th grade essay winner.

William and his parents were invited to the Youth Awards luncheon in Pacific Grove on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, where William received a certificate, a medal, and a monetary award, and read his essay to the audience.
