|  | | We are a very active school and getting together to celebrate a variety of activities and events throughout the year is just part of what makes our community so warm and welcoming. Some of the events have become beloved traditions that are remembered long past graduation, beckoning alumni to return, such as the Fall Festival, Blessing of the Animals, Christmas Lessons and Carols, Spring Tea and Graduation. Others are more recent additions such as Clypping Day and the Easter Festival of Flowers, that add to the spirit and richness of school life. |
Blessing of the Animals There truly is a menagerie of animals that often seems to rival that of Noahs’ Ark during this celebration and blessing of animals held the first Friday of each October in honor of St Francis. Children bring pets from small to large, or even items such as a collar or photo that represent their loved pet, to be blessed. |

 Buddy Family Picnic Picnic blankets are spread on the lawn, barbecue is served, and families meet and greet one another during this special gathering of new families and their “Buddies”. It is a wonderful way for students and families to get to know one another and feel comfortable on campus before the first day of school. |

 Clypping Day Clypping (meaning to embrace) is a historical ceremony of rededication. To celebrate the beginning of a new school year, the entire All Saints' community circles the school, led by a bagpiper and head student acolytes, and then gathers together to bless the school, community and world. |

 Easter Festival of Flowers In celebration of Easter, the Wednesday after we return from Easter Break, the students process to the outdoor chapel carrying flowers for a special Easter Chapel. The gorgeous flowers are then donated to shut-in residents of Carmel Valley Manor. |

 Fall Festival A beloved All Saints’ Day Schools tradition and all-around fun event, this celebration sponsored by the Parents’ Organization involves nearly everyone. The Halloween/harvest themed day-long festival is well-attended by the wider community and features games, rides, craft booths, items for sale, delicious food and much more. |

 Father/Daughter Dance Event  Both fathers and daughters look forward to getting their dancing shoes on for this fabulous semi-annual event. |

 Golf Tournament School friends and families join together for a day of fun and golf at one of the most beautiful golf courses on the Monterey Peninsula. |

 Graduation The graduation ceremony is the culmination of a student’s educational years at All Saints’ Day School and is always a touching occasion. Held at All Saints Church on the first Friday morning in June, all students join in as we celebrate the graduation of our 8th graders. Poised graduates give articulate, moving, and memorable graduation speeches to the audience of students, parents, families and friends. A reception hosted by 7th grade parents is held in the parish hall immediately following. It is a never-to-be-forgotten day. |

 Grandparents’ and Special Friends Day We welcome students’ grandparents and other special friends for Chapel and an opportunity to visit classrooms with their students. This special occasion falls on the Tuesday morning of Thanksgiving week. |

 International Week Every other year the foreign language department spearheads a week of mulit-cultural and cross-curricular activities designed to increase student awareness of global cultures.

 Latin Feast Held late in May, this is a Roman extravaganza. The 6th, 7th and 8th graders, in full Roman regalia, entertain and are entertained at a feast for all the senses. |

 Lessons and Carols This beautiful service is held at All Saints Church. Students, dressed for the occasion, sing Christmas songs to the parents as a true gift of the holiday season. The service begins at 7:00 P.M. at the Church, which is located at Dolores Street and Ninth Avenue in Carmel. |

 Primary Players Students in first and second grades delight their audience when they perform in a 30-minute musical complete with costumes. It is held during Chapel time in the middle of the week. Parents and friends are most welcome. |

 Recognition Night This very special event celebrates the accomplishments of our students as they successfully complete the school year. Particular emphasis is on the 8th grade graduates who are honored with individualized presentations by their homeroom teachers. This ceremony is held the evening before Graduation. |

 Shakespeare One of the most unique events at All Saints’ is our annual fall Shakespeare play, performed by the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This year the production will be Much Ado About Nothing and the school and wider community is invited to attend. |

 Spring Musical  Now in its 33rd wonderful year, the musical is always highly anticipated. This is a performing arts opportunity for all interested students in grades 3 – 8, sometimes triggering a life-long passion for the theatre. Past musicals have included: Tom Sawyer, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Sound of Music, Bye Bye Birdie, Oliver, and The Music Man, among others. |
