Campus and Facilities
In
1965, the first school building (the Lower School and Administrative
wing building) was completed in its present location in Carmel
Valley, California. This structure served as the classrooms for
Kindergarten through 8th grades, as well as the library and the
administrative office for the school. This structure was the only
building the campus knew for nine years.
Since 1974 a gradual campus expansion has been undertaken. In
1974, the Coats Gymnasium was constructed followed by the Coburn
Early Childhood Unit facility in 1979. In 1983 the Coburn Upper
School wing was completed along with a fine arts building. In
1995 the Castle Library was completed. The original school building
and administrative wing was completely renovated in the summer
of 1999.
