6th Grade
The year is going well and I certainly have been impressed with all the work that the 6th graders have produced to date.
We have completed our website project, creating pages about the book Hatchet using the Dreamweaver program. To explore the student-created pages, please click here.
The 6th grade class is also piloting the use of Moodle, a course management system. If you are the parent of a 6th grader, ask them to show you the site. I'm very excited about the potential of Moodle, even if I am not yet an expert at setting up an online course system.
Our next project will entail creating newpapers for the Latin Feast. In small groups, students will use Microsoft Publisher to create a multi-page newspaper with informative articles, advertisements and entertainment sections for distribution to all of the participants at this year's Latin Feast.
